Collaborative Cyber Awareness Session with UNHCR

A comprehensive cyber awareness session was held for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) which featured a lineup of experts dedicated to enhancing cybersecurity knowledge. Ms. Hector from TTCSIRT kicked off the session with an overview of general cybersecurity practices. This was followed by WPC Joseph from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service’s Cyber and Social Media Unit who provided insights into online scams and strategies for protection. Lt. Goodridge from the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF), then elaborated on the national cyber awareness initiatives and the TTDF’s role in this domain. The session was moderated by Mr. Bachu from TTCSIRT, who led a panel discussion, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging experience for all participants. This is a collaborative effort among the divisions of the Ministry of National Security.
