MHS and TATT Sign MOU to Strengthen National Cybersecurity Collaboration
The Ministry of Homeland Security (MHS), through the Trinidad and Tobago Cyber Security Incident Response Team (TT-CSIRT), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT), formalizing a strategic partnership to enhance national cybersecurity coordination.
Purpose of the Agreement
The MOU establishes a collaborative framework between MHS/TT-CSIRT and TATT to:
- Strengthen cyber threat intelligence sharing
- Improve incident response coordination across the telecommunications sector
- Support joint training and simulation exercises
- Enhance the protection of critical information and communications infrastructure
- Promote national cybersecurity awareness initiatives

Enhancing National Cyber Resilience
This partnership reinforces TT-CSIRT’s role as the national incident response body by enabling closer coordination with the telecommunications regulator. The collaboration is expected to improve early detection, response, and mitigation of cyber threats impacting national infrastructure, including ransomware, service disruptions, and malicious network activity.
