Strengthening Digital Forensics Cooperation Through Engagements with KISA and CARICOM IMPACS

The Trinidad and Tobago Cyber Security Incident Response Team (TT-CSIRT), in collaboration with the Caribbean Community Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (CARICOM IMPACS), recently facilitated a series of engagements between the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), and the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF).

This collaboration focused on opportunities for organisations to strengthen cooperation in the area of digital forensics, with discussions centered on knowledge exchange, technical capacity building, and potential support for enhancing digital investigation capabilities within Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean region.

International cooperation such as these remain an important component of effective cyber incident response and digital investigations, particularly as cyber threats increasingly transcend national borders and require coordinated responses among law enforcement, defence, cybersecurity, and international partners.

Through continued collaboration with CARICOM IMPACS, KISA and national stakeholders, TT-CSIRT remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen technical expertise, improve digital forensic capabilities, and enhance Trinidad and Tobago’s overall preparedness to respond to evolving cyber threats.
