TT-CSIRT and CARICOM IMPACS Advance Cybersecurity Cooperation to Strengthen Regional Resilience

Trinidad and Tobago Cyber Security Incident Response Team (TT-CSIRT) met with the Caribbean Community Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (CARICOM IMPACS) at its headquarters in Port of Spain to advance cybersecurity cooperation across Trinidad and Tobago and the wider CARICOM region.

The engagement formed part of ongoing regional efforts under the CARICOM Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Action Plan (CCSCAP) 2025. Discussions focused on aligning national and regional cybersecurity priorities, strengthening incident response coordination, and enhancing the protection of critical infrastructure and digital communities across the Caribbean.

The meeting was supported by Mr. Anish Bachu, Head of TT-CSIRT, alongside CARICOM IMPACS representatives Ms. Candy Saunders and Mr. Dale Joseph. The discussions provided an opportunity to identify practical areas for continued cooperation, knowledge exchange and the development of stronger regional cybersecurity capabilities.

As Caribbean states become increasingly reliant on interconnected digital systems and services, coordinated regional action remains essential to addressing cyber threats that extend beyond national borders. TT-CSIRT remains committed to strengthening partnerships with CARICOM IMPACS and other regional stakeholders to support a more resilient, coordinated and secure Caribbean digital environment.
